Sandbox Cottage
On Bass Lake, 125' lake frontage with private drive. Sleeps
8 in five bedrooms (for each additional person over 8 there will be a $100 fee), 1 1/2 baths, full kitchen (microwave, coffee
maker, blender, etc.), TV, VCR/DVD (huge collection of both), 9 1/2'
x 40' screened in porch, gas grill, fire pit, dock, floating raft, picnic
table, and of course, a sandbox! Perfect for families. Lots of parking
for cars and boat trailers. Bass Lake offers a public boat launch, perfect
for launching your own boat and ski jets.
No smoking, no pets, need to provide own bedding, linens, and toiletries.
We will accept payments starting on November first to hold your week! Your week will only be held once the deposit is received.
Cleaning Fee $150
Security deposit of $250.
Half of rental amount (non-refundable) due upon confirmation!
Remainder of balance (plus cleaning fee and security deposit) due upon arrival.
Rental ranges from $1,500 - $1,800/week, depending on season

Every year for the past 20 years my brothers and I fish somewhere in Michigan, usually along the side of the state. Ralph and I go north in mid summer to find a lake and a place to stay for late August or mid September. All the places we have stayed have been nice. This year we came upon the Sandbox cottage and it had the “just right” feeling. We made arrangements to stay there and we were soooo happy we did. The cottage accomadated 6 of us very comfortabley, had plenty of eating space, the best supplied kitchen we have ever had, a wonderful porch, yard, fish cleaning table, fire pit, yard chairs to sit by the lake. The lake was easy to fish and has nice size panfish . I would recommend the Sandbox to all fishermen or anyone else who would like a rustic yet well furnish place at the lake for a week or2.

Another wonderful week at the Sandbox cottage with my mom & sisters for a girls week! Clean, well equipped cottage with great sun deck area including lounge chairs. Has a great vintage cottage look with lots of space . Especially enjoyed playing games on the enclosed porch and evening fires by the fire pit lit up by string of lights encircling the area. Able to kayak short distance to the outlet and Lake Michigan. Best of both worlds Always enjoy our stay here since 2007!

My family has rented the Sandbox for something close to 10 years. It has all the amenities you would need. Two bathrooms, a nice kitchen area, a beautiful and large screened in back porch with a large round table, not to mention a big backyard and a great dock (with plenty of fish in the lake).
We very much enjoy staying there (look forward to it all year) and love visiting the nearby towns of Pentwater and Ludington.
